Overview
Bare busbars, conductors and connections risk birds, animals, vegetation and airborne debris bridging phase-to-phase or phase-to-earth clearances — causing outages, equipment damage and, in some cases, electrocuting the animal. Gala's pre-moulded protection covers, heat shrinkable tubes, tapes and sheets retrofit insulation onto that bare metalwork.
Creepage extenders seal to porcelain or glass insulators, adding creepage distance and reducing electric stress by driving leakage current around the extender's skirt edge.

GPFIC bus/bushing connection covers are UV-stable, field-trimmable at the entry/exit holes, and reusable for later maintenance — sized for busbar connections, standoff insulators, capacitors and transformer bushings.
Overhead line covers and tubes field-install over bare conductors for phase-to-phase and phase-to-ground protection from bird and animal contact: UV-resistant polyolefin covers and tubes, GSIOC non-tracking silicone interlocking covers to 33 kV, and GSOC self-locking silicone covers for insulation enhancement to 765 kV.
The heat shrink busbar sleeve, in cross-linked polyolefin, insulates busbar systems up to 36 kV, reduces air clearance and guards against accidental flashover — to ANSI C37.20.2 for MV switchgear application up to 36 kV; a separate extra-heavy-wall series (GEHB) extends that to 66 kV. Heat Shrink Tape insulates busbar connections where tubing cannot be used.
Bushing Boots are non-tracking elastomeric boots that fit over switchgear bushings, insulating right-angled or straight connections up to 24 kV and guarding against flashover or surges in switchgear and transformer boxes.
Screened Separable Connectors connect single and three-core polymeric cable to MV switchgear, transformers and RMUs via type "C" bushings, specified for 630 A up to 36 kV. Built from highly modified EPDM rubber with a touch-proof, earthed outer screen.
Heat Shrink Pole Protection Sleeve, in cross-linked polyolefin, seals a wooden pole's ground-line area against decay for long-term pole maintenance.
