Heat shrink tubes are manufactured from cross-linked polyolefin. Fitted over a cable or component and heated with a hot air gun, the tube shrinks to size, protecting against moisture and mechanical shock while making the cable underneath easier to identify. Used in military, industrial and commercial settings.

The range spans thin wall, medium/heavy wall, dual wall, red insulation, non-tracking, busbar, stress-control and double-layer constructions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Heat Shrink Tubes used for?

It is used for:

  • Cable organisation and identification
  • Moisture and shock protection on wiring in military, industrial and commercial settings
How is it installed?

Clean and degrease the surface, position the part, then shrink it with a gas torch or a hot-air gun: keep the heat moving round it with a smooth, brushing motion so it recovers evenly without scorching. Start at one end and work steadily along to the other.
