Corporate History
Founded 1979 by J.P. Gala as a small PVC-processing workshop; today a Gala Group manufacturer of heat-shrink and PVC cable accessories, ISO-certified and exporting to more than 100 countries.
Gala Thermo Shrink was started in February 1979 by J.P. Gala (Chairman, B.S. USA), a small factory processing PVC material. Bhavesh Gala (Managing Director, production engineering) joined in 1993, the year the company executed its first export order, to Malaysia.

1970s
J.P. Gala starts Gala Industries, a small factory processing PVC material.
1980s
Production of dip-moulded and injection-moulded PVC components begins.
1990s
First export order, to Malaysia.
Bhavesh Gala, now Managing Director, joins with an engineering background.
First international exhibition, in Dubai.
2000s
Production of heat-shrink moulded shapes begins.
ISO 9001 certification.
Commercial production of heat-shrink tubes begins, with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification.
Cable Accessories Division started.
UL recognition for heat-shrink tubes.
2010s
Production of the GEC 1101 heat-shrink cable end cap, size 500/200 mm.
UL recognition for Busboot and Bustube.
Product approval from DCRP, Oman, for heat-shrink joints and terminations.
Heat-shrink moulded-shape unit established at the Surat SEZ, Gujarat.
33 kV heat-shrink joints and terminations type tested at CPRI.
Insulcover launched, for covering overhead wires and conductors.
KEMA type test certificate for the 11 kV heat-shrink cable joint.
Phase I factory opens at Palghar, Maharashtra.
MSEDCL approval for heat-shrink joints and terminations up to 33 kV.
Insulation enhancement products launched.
Exports reach 100 countries.
Screened separable connectors launched.
Solar power generation installed at the Palghar factory.
Phase II factory opens at Palghar.
2020s
Corporate office moves to Eureka Tower, Malad, Mumbai.
